Critter (value jet) bought AirTran Airways and kept the AirTran name.

Song. Delta Express.

California Air Shuttle (1989) Flew Metro's between Oxnard, Ca and San Jose & Sacramento. Each passenger had their own David Clark-like headseats that hooked into a central CD player entertainment system.

Haines Airways (Haines, Alaska). Died in the late '90's or early '00's. Operated new C-206's and Caravan in southeast AK.

San Francisco Helicopters. I can barely remember flying on them between San Jose and SFO in the late 60's or early '70's. Flew S-61's.

Oh yeah...a few cargo carriers, Spirit of America, Orion, and Interstate [ I think they may be ATI now].

I don't know if Orion was "bought" by UPS, but there are lots of Orion pilots that were given interviews before the doors closed. I believe lots of old orion guys are at UPS.
