I will be sending out resume's this week as I finally acheived the all illusive 100 multi. I was wondering which regionals will be the best and worst to work for commuting from Jacksonville, Fl (JAX). Any info will be appreciated.

Mesa, best for you.

Worst for everybody else....

Congrats on the 100 ME.

Take some dice and assign numbers the regional name and toss them out. It's exactly that, a crap shoot. Mesaba is floundering right now but in five years could be the hottest place in the regionals to be. I doubt it but you never know.

The best one is the first to hire you...reassess from there.

Quoted for truth.

What is your TT? What are your goals? What is most important to you - pay, QOL, upgrade? Are you at all willing to move?

Commuting from JAX (good luck, I hear its brutal) you'd probably be best with southern or midatlantic bases...ASA, PSA, CHQ, Mesa, AWAC, Colgan (?), or Piedmont. Go anywhere you can to start then use it as a step to get where you want to be. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. My total time is 1400. I am trying to get to swa eventually. I'd like to have descent pay and qol until I get there but the commute is really going to suck. Anyways best of luck to all you guys and I hope your careers are going a lot better than mine.

I'm doing the same dance jim.....I placed logo pictures on my garage wall and threw darts....and the winners are

AWAC, Skywest, Eagle.

For the record...I put the Mesa logo on the wall opposite of that which I was throwing towards.

Is there a best value in regionals for the money? I'd like to get about 1,500 pic turbine as a street captain, but I don't want to pay more than 20 grand, maybe 25 grand if I can get a grant.

10 flights a day back and forth between IAH and JAX 6 ExpressJet and 4 Continental.. If you're looking for QOL I'd look into ExpressJet.

Mesa out of Orlando (Delta Express flying). I think Mesa also operates US airways and/or United express out of Jacksonville also. I know I've jumpseated on them into JAX's last year for a reunion, just can't remember what they were operating under. Good luck.
