I'm experiencing some issues with microfiber towels leaving a residue. It may be from a poor laundering technique or the towels breaking down and time to throw out? I'll be buying some new towels soon and am curious what towels you all recommend for windscreen and general cleaning? Obviously I want something of good quality.

I like the ones CubCrafters gave me with the plane in the cleaning kit. Checked it while cleaning tonight and it's the Kirkland brand. Need to run to Costco and get a batch and see how they work out.

I think it's something that may have happened in the laundry, maybe there was softener involved and that's what's coming off? I don't know. I think what does matter when choosing microfiber towels is to try and avoid ones with the sewed seams which I think the threads could cause scratching? The kirkland brand did not have those that I remember.

I have always assumed that they are disposable, not reusable. You start with new ones for the windows, and once they are at all dirty, you move them for general cleaning, and once they get dirty, they get retired.

I just get bulk "unhemed" ones from Canadian Tire, as that is closer than an auto detail supply shop.

I follow the same pattern as ve6yeq. I order mine from amazon
