While I don't have distilled water yet, I have been using the bug slide. Stuff seems to be working great for cleaning bugs off and also polishing leaving a nice finish. Thanks @Cubonaut875. You're a wealth of great tipsHere in Central Illinois, in corn and soybean country, there are plenty of bugs, they coat the plane in summer. What works for me is distilled water in a spray bottle, spray it when their little bodies are still squishy and wipe their corpses off with a microfiber towel. I use distilled water to wipe the plane down and then polish the bug surfaces with Bug Slide, works great! Amazon.com
