501261 - what's so funny - as i can see you have flown neither the da50 nor the 800xp. by the way , there is a big difference in the 800a and the 800xp - do some research. When was the last time you flew an astra from KTEB TO KPSP? Well the 800 xp can do it!!!!!

No problem, particularily if you are refering to the G-100 (SPX). You said that you were also looking at short field performance. Why are you including the G-100 and the 800XP? Are you trying to see which one will use the most runway on a transcon flight?

If you are ever planing to go to HI or Europe go with the 50. It has the range and O2 to do it safely. I have met several fools over the past few years that try to tell me it is safe in the Astra or Hawker. I hear stupid stuff like... "we put extra O2 bottles in the airplane and fly in a depress senerio at FL 240" (ever try staying warm at FL240?) - OR - my all time favorite was, "we only had a wet footprint for 5 minutes or so." SMART guys.

Do yourself a favor, get the 50 and NEVER have to worry about 2nd segment, range or overwater senerio's. You can find a good non-EX 50 for around $7.5-9 million.
