Two days ago.....J3 cub and a Stearman....

I try to get back home and fly as much as I can. Cubs never get old....Plus, they keep your feet alive...heh

I flew my dad's cub this past August and nearly rolled it into a ball.

Too bad really, I used to be pretty good with a tail wheel.

My wife and I occasionally rent C152's out at TTD. When I got checked out there, I hadn't been in a Cessna in several years and my landings were ugly. That was largely owing to me flying the Q400...that airplane had severely screwed up my landing technique. "Oh yeah...ya don't land a Cessna with power, & I can flare more than 5 degrees pitch."

I actually also fly PA-31-350's part-time for Ameriflight here in PDX, and on Monday was in SoCal to do a BFR with an ex-student in his Warrior. So I stay somewhat active flying light aircraft.

Flew my regular 152 again today. One hour cost $74.46 total with insurance. I now have to pay $6/hr insurance override eventhough I'm already under the FBO's insurance as a part-time CFI. All CFI's at the flightschool have to pay this now if they do any personal flying.
