Looking for info on how far out to apply with citation shares. I meet all requirements but I am commited to my current employer for another 8-9 months. Do they interview and will they hire someone that is unavailable that far out.

Thanks to all who reply!

They probably won't interview you that far out, I know they usually don't for the age 60 retirees until about a month prior to their 60th birthday. But without your resume walked in for you, I would doubt you'll hear from them at least for a few months, so you might as well try. Cheers.

O contrare.

I was told they like the guy who applys now and updates his application. It is a relationship based application. I would go ahead and apply. Keep them updated.

Also, don't forget, they let you know right away in the interview if you are hired or not; so let them know you aren't available for a while.

I applied about 1 month ago. My times are 4,000 TT, 2,600 Turbine, 1,100 Turbine PIC. I have been at another Fractional for 2 years. Here is the response I received...not sure what to make of it.

Thanks for your interest in CitationShares.
I have reviewed your credentials and qualifications, and have decided not to bring you in for an interview at this time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to use this email address. Perhaps we might build this relationship over time. I am personally committed to building relationships with applicants who embrace the morals, customer service ethic, and positive attitude we each share at CitationShares.
Please stay in touch.
Respectfully,

Dr. B,
This is their "thanks but no thanks" response, they will not eliminate you, but without a recommendation, I wouldn't expect to hear from them again. If you really want to work their, you should keep calling and try to talk to Barry, and send him hard copy updates.
Cheers

They are big into this relationship thing. You credentials, even though they meet the min quals, are probably less than what they are able to attract. I spent a wonderful career at a major, but based on today's market and the qualifications of those in it, I couldn't get hired for that same job now with what I had then. My suggestion is to do what he has asked, and stay in touch. Don't give up.

Thanks for the response gentleman. Barry's email gave me the impression that persistance is important. I plan on pursuing that angle. Maybe over time after many emails, and phone calls I can get called in.

Thanks again guys!
