What's a Union? :p

Good Ole Bill introduced me to TP, A legend to the freight world! RIP Captain Halden.

That's not completely accurate... All Tailwind has done is front Cherry fuel money and paid for hotels/airline. That was my understanding at least. Cherry still does MX and pays pilot salaries. MW is over at Tailwind and that is one of the biggest reasons Cherry is still afloat. The other is the DO running the place with Steve R gone!!! They also have a new DOM in the hanger which will help dramatically...

I saw a Cherry Falcon in MKE last night, it's nice to see some freight moving around! Apparently the bid boards are extremely busy these days.

I am glad it is working out for you. Real semi-success story to be back in the saddle so soon after the scrub down in YIP. I would caution you: I hope Freight is turning good dough off the UPS side, [having had UPS contracts and being familiar with their $$ brutality] those margins simply cannot be covering the on demand side where Freight is quoting work @ <$650/hr in the -99. It is a tough market even with the synthetic "upturn" for companies to be 'banking' on volume.

I try to refrain from fear and loathing on these boards for obvious reasons. But, want to make sure you are keeping the res polished and your eyes open for opportunities to get back into larger part 25 equipment. Particularly when the motors of several Freight aircraft start creeping into TBO/HSI territory simultaneously.

I have a ace up my sleeve just in case this happens. I learned my lesson about freight a little over a year ago. Here today, gone tomorrow. Unless UPS pulls down some runs I think I have a secure job though. But hey, crazy things happen, and your right, it is vital to have a plan B, but if your lucky you never have to exercise it.

Maybe it was all the Victoria Secrets models that were escorting that load of freight?
