Aussie, the more info that comes out, the easier it is to be sympathetic. I can see that the guy made a bad decision that he will never repeat because of the high price he paid for his foolishness. I think he should be given another chance in aviation. I don't think the company he worked for at the time should have to take him back, but I do think a different one should give him a chance. He is now a lot less likely than a bunch of other guys to be tempted by a sexy smile and a pair of swaying hips.

Thanks, Fernando! It's not just the job, though. It's the demands of the lifestyle and how much I dislike the way pilots are being underpaid. So it's also a human interest thing with me. I respect and admire those who stand up for themselves.

I have no sympathy for him at all. The guy was 39, not 15 and should not be ruled by his prick. If he was in civies and on his own time, I don't think he would have lost his job, but he was in uniform representing the company at the time. When your picture makes the news under the caption "Flight Options pilot has sex with 16 yo girl in airport stairwell", you have to expect the consequences, especially in this business where the pilots are the face of the company to the owners. Personally I don't care how hot and bothered or gorgeous a chick is, I'm not going to risk my career and livelihood for a quick bang. No matter how good it might be, it just isn't worth it.

Besides if the guy is out of work, he could always run for congress, he appears to meet all the qualifications for that job.

WS, by sympathy I meant that I can imagine the guy's regret for what he did, not that I think he shouldn't have been fired. I did think he was probably younger than 39. Nonetheless, it does seem that he could start over at the bottom and never make the same mistake again. I guess the best way to put it is.....what a mess....what a shame....live and learn....

Well he's obviously not the only walking hormone flying planes out there, he's just the one that made the papers. I've personally flown with a few of them and quite frankly it's embarrassing to be seen in the same terminal with them. Unfortunately you usually can't choose who you fly with in this biz.

Didn't we elect a president that had "that type of judgement." Although the oval office and a cigar are a little different than the stair well in ATL.

No "we" didn't.... I never voted for that gem.

You just had to bring that up ... :D

I hate when that happens!

It doesn't bother me to have consensual sex with a hot young chick in the stairwell.

It really doesn't bother me to have sex anywhere with an older hot chick, anywhere!!! (Halley Berry comes to mind)

What bothers me is when the alarm goes off in the middle of it and wakes me up.

Another early morning, Teterborough here I come.

I have often complained to my Cpts about the girls in the FBO "wanting me".

"Yeah she wants me"! "She wants me to get the hell out of here and leave her alone"!!!!!

Wisdom from Semore:

When I was a kid if I got in a fight and lost I would be immedietely plotting on how to get even.

Now if I were to get in a fight, mugged or robbed, I walk away thinking "God I'm glad I didn't get killed"!

Hopefully time will allow this guy to put this behind him and get on with his life.
