What should I be paid, fairly - typed in G550, flying the 450 and 550 in TX?

well i dont know why someone would need a gv to fly just in texas....

lol kidding. 1000 a day would be nice :) giv captain in florida said hes doing like 120 a year or so.. but home every night, etc.

or at least 135k a year

yup. Dont know about Texas but 135K/yr sounds accurate around me. Maybe even a little more for a good gig.

but Texas and Florida??...someone is sure to come up with 75K.

good luck!

As much as you can get.

Seriously...from what I know from the info on this board and others and looking at industry payscales from different surveys, I'd say start at $110K for an FO and $155K for a CA and go up from there depending on location (COL) and other fringe bennies. A total pay package is a better indicator of good pay than just "market pay".

tailwinds...

Well, then, I am not even close to that... Thanks for the info...

This is "unofficially" credited and verified against what people I know flying G-450s get in a corporate environment. Tailwinds...

But now you have the type rating and the ability to move on. There always seems to be an opening for an expirenced G-V/G-550 driver out there.

Good luck.

What is the going daily rate for a B-727 F/O?

145 to 165K min out in the SFO area. More is possible for the right job. You guys are selling yourself way to low.

funny thing is...165K in the bay area seems to be around the poverty line.

that whole area needs its own payscale.

Spooky, Where ya been?

The responses to his original post should have begun with "once upon a time..."

The reality is that if you aren't on the coasts, you will start out as a CA without a type around $100-110. This will be higher if you are with a F100 company. It will be lower if you are flying for someone who thinks you are a commodity. (A lot of people think the $60k for the type should come out of your pay--every year! )

Sure you can quote instances of top dollar being paid in all areas of the country but the average is below those quotes.

If you came with a type, you will get more. In any event, you now have a type and can explore other options if the QOL doesn't offset your "average" pay.TC

P.S.--You aren't in College Station are you?

Does the type really cost 60k. I have never heard of a type costing that much.

Wow. No wonder it has always been one of my "maybe one day I can fly one of those" type airplanes. How do you talk an employer into bringing you on board as an FO with no time in type. It seems to me it is one of those situations that everyone wants you to have expereince, but no one wants to give it to you.
