Wow. No wonder it has always been one of my "maybe one day I can fly one of those" type airplanes. How do you talk an employer into bringing you on board as an FO with no time in type. It seems to me it is one of those situations that everyone wants you to have expereince, but no one wants to give it to you.

Its just realtive.

These are 40mil+ aircraft. Many operated by billionaires or by Fortune XX companies who measure assets in TRILLIONS and quarterly profits in 5+billion dollar range.

The numbers can be mind blowing. Think about it, what does a guy who is worth 2 billion make in INTEREST? - say a modest 8% on his money?

60K is like you spending $30 at the grocery store. Its there...but not a big concern. Yes, by the time it gets to the aviation budget its real money, but in the big picture...not really.

The biggest concern is finding the right guy, not the cost of the type.

funny thing is...165K in the bay area seems to be around the poverty line.
