AWAC just began another class on this past Monday. They are small, attrition-based (still) classes, but I'd say the hiring is slowing to a trickle. But, it's worth a shot.

Pretty much some that are bankrupt, some that are laying off, and some that are dead ends....CHOSE YOUR DESTINY!!!

CommutAir, if one meets their lofty hiring mins, and one wants to fly the mighty beech 1900D

Horizon is hiring too.......

They'll give you some FO lovin for a while.

Oh, I alomst forgot, you'll get the promise of a paycut (management's wet dream at the moment) from a profitable comapny.

Eagle is hiring! Classes every 2 weeks, approx 10-15/class. Before you start running here's a little snapshot from our most recent CA upgrade bids....

DOH for CA upgrades
Sf3 8/23/99
Emb 12/01/97
Crj 1/27/97

Mesa is hiring, though with all of these other wonderful choices, why come here....

Interesting rumor: We can't get enough pilot applications, let alone pilots, to fill the classes that they need to run. They are raiding flight schools (ex. shows up at abc flight school, hands out mass applications, interviews on the spot, class starts monday)

Interesting rumor #2: We are staffed at 3.2 crews per airplane on our CRJ in IAD and ORD....Jr. Assignments and min days off are running rampent, they are evening TDY'ing crew trackers there to hunt down crews for Jr. Assignments (no more avoiding phonecalls....darn). With all of this going on, attrition is at an all time high which is just compounding the problem.

This is nothing but ammunition for the pilot group for sectino 6 negoiations which start in March

Cheers

When applying to Chautauqua, does it make a difference in how you apply? I mean, ifyou apply online do you get a call quicker, or ir email and fax just as effective?

The real question is "who's not hiring?"

Seriously, I think this is easier.

1. Mesaba?
2. Trans States?
3. ????

Sorry but I'm out of the loop with commuters these days. The info is for someone else.
AWAC is Air Wisconsin I take it? Who's XJT (Expressjet)? Thanks.

PSA is a standup group of pilots. Its not perfect but I am happy here for now. Our MEC is trying to negotiate a living wage for the CRJ 900.

What are the chances of getting on with Chautauqua and getting STL? What is the lowest time they will hire at I know their mins are 1500 TT & 300 ME, but will they go below that?
