Kinda reminds me of Edwards AFB...

C'mon guys. It's obviously a Saucerport. Now quit talking about it before someone sees us.

My guess would be a blimp base.

I have to disagree. The planes that lay chemtrails have special S/VTOL capabilities so they can be more discrete.

EDIT: By the way, like the guy said above, it looks like some sort of helicopter thing, judging from all the helos on the ground..............

No no no ATR. A Blimp Base is more oblong.

This place is round. For Saucers I'm tellin ya, for Saucers!

Thanks for everyone who figured this one out!

So someone explain this to me, why does a heliport have short "runways" as opposed to the helipads (which I do see one in the photo)??

The helos need a running start or something?? :D

Yeah, I thought the big white helipad symbols were a giveaway too.

I'm not a helo driver, but I believe that some of the large ones can carry more payload with a rolling takeoff than they can by just lifting off.

Wheeled helicopters can do rolling takeoffs and landings when power required is close to power available, e.g. heavy, high DA, or single engine ops. It doesn't require much runway (if you do it right) but it requires more than a pad.

I was going to guess it was an airport for teaching how to land taildraggers.

Sure would have helped me. :D
