Wish they'd make some of Dale Brown's book's into movies, though.

I've read a couple of Dale Brown's books. After the first, I was convinced he was incapable of writing decent aviation fiction. I gave him a second chance, and affirmed my conviction. Pure hogwash.

On the other hand, Stephen Coonts' work is pretty good...if only someone had actually read The Flight of the Intruder before they made a movie out of it...

If they decide to turn another Coonts novel into a movie, it should be Minotaur, a really great book about the military aircraft procurement process.

Speaking of Burton, anyone ever seen The Wild Geese? Really good movie about mercs in Central Africa. (Aviation content: one C-130, the Concorde, and a really mean Cessna 310 carrying napalm.)
