But what is ALPA prepared to do

The question is... what are you prepared to do? The leadership has yelled charge and climbed out of the foxhole only to hane tne membership cower inthe pit.. you guys want instant action with instant results... you refuse to let go of your preconcived expectations... and you refuse to learn how to be effective union members...

How is ALPA going to get the pilots what they rightfully deserve?

You going to vote for a pro labor president next year. Since 2000 the phone lines to the White House have been cut..

The current method of "working with management" isn't getting it done.

Working against is an even worse option....

ALPA is a broken organization.

Then why are you hindering fixing it?

Until we have a national union with a national seniority list and pay rates we are up poop crick.

As long as guys come up with these regressive ideas we will never progress. I challenge you to come up with a workable plan for Nat'l Sen list and pay rates.

Tha fact is guys like you might even know that these gimicks don't work.. however, that is your M.O., because as long as you keep touting these unworkable ideas you get to say that ALPA is fubar.. which enables you to NOT accept responsibility for your actions.

Failure to adapt to the changing times is a fundamental problem.

And what about your failures? The one thing that you can control right now... what about it?

ALPA took back scabs because it was an unavoidable byproduct of keeping faith with loyal ALPA members who went into battle (a strike) at ALPA's behest.

The only way to get enough votes for a merger of the IACP with ALPA was to assure the SCABs that they would be accepted back into the Association. Without that assurance from ALPA, the SCABs were a large enough voting block within the IACP to veto the merger.

Two fine examples as to why people have lost faith in this organization. Keep doing what you do best boys, blame the membership

If you don't understand it, that could explain a lot of things:

1. The flashing "1200" on your VCR.
2. Your WWF t-shirt collection.
3. Why post #84 is the best you've ever done.
4. The trophy on your desk for "High Score - Mario Kart"
5. The bright orange color of the helmet you wore on the short bus to/from school.
6. The 100 you scored on the SAT Verbals.
7. The brass plaque with your name on the fry vat at McDonald's.

As soon as you start referencing union work in the first-person, you can start judging the men in the arena. Until then...get back to the shallow end!

1. What's a VCR?
2. Wrestling is not fake.
3. It is a secret shame.
4. I kill at Donkey Kong...don't know nothin bout no fancy Kart talk.
5. I was told that was for my own good.
6. I've never seen a static air temp of 100...have You?
7. Don't knock the fryolated arts...harder than it looks.

Excuse me?

"Blame the membership"?

And you derived that from this? "ALPA took back scabs because it was an unavoidable byproduct of keeping faith with loyal ALPA members who went into battle (a strike) at ALPA's behest."

Choosing to NOT leave loyal members on the battlefield is "blaming the membership"?
