After waiting in the T/O line for over an hour, and then watching the fire trucks scream out and suround one of our RJs due to a false fire indication, when we get back to ATL we hear that a moving ATR hit a fuel truck and "parts were flying everywhere".

anyone know what happened?

great, as if it isn't already hard enough to get fuel around here. Now we have to deal with one less truck.

;)Hey wicked, they were trying to slice one truck into two! They are tired of waiting for fuel also!

Albeit in bad taste...that right there is funny as hell.

We were told by rampers that the #2 prop struck one of those little fuel carts. Apparently the ramper on the right wing was trying to tell the marshaller to stop but he never noticed and continued to park the aircraft when it struck the cart. Thats all i heard.

Short staffed and overworked on the ramp. It was bound to happen. Just glad no one was hurt.

Are you sure the right wing walker wasn't talking on his cell and missed the whole thing????

Sounds more realisitic to me..........

I wondered when something like this might happen. Watching the lead marshallers, I've noticed a few that don't really look at their wing walkers, especially in the last ten feet when they are slowing you to a stop.

Glad nobody was hurt.
