O.K. So the AP loves to tell the world how much the average Delta Pilot salary is.

With all of the hype over the past year, with talk of "golden parachutes", "million dollar bonuses", "stock options","incentive bonuses" and the like. Does anyone know the real "average Delta manager" salary?

I'm guessing its not too shabby. Why hasn't ALPA spent any money educating the public and other Delta employees how much MGMT makes, how many paycuts have THEY taken. Also the incredible numbers of managers. How top heavy they are.

They will walk away from this just fine no matter how it goes. While the average Delta worker blames the pilots for the current situation

An 'average' Delta manager makes around $70-$110K. I believe a Director is in the $150K+ range. VPs are $200K & up.

I think it's been a couple years since regular incentive payouts have been made to 'average' managers.

'Average' managers actually don't get paid enough for the BS they put up with.

The severage packages 6-12 months paid to Directors & above who are curently getting the axe seriously grinds my gears however. The stay bonuses and packages that SENIOR management got back in the Leo days certainly did too. DL's still pretty top heavy on Directors and you'll see that change in the next few weeks, as we've seen some VPs cut from the ranks in the past few weeks. Managers and GMs have generally had to take on a fair bit more responsibilties in the last few years as the company has shrunk overhead. They're not getting rich here.

I hope management gets some stock options (a reasonable amount) when we emerge from ch11. I hope this new TA calls for pilots to get a good fair share as well. You guys certainly have made big sacrifices and deserve it as well. And frankly I, Mr. Rank and File Delta, do too.

You obviously haven't seen ALPA's pays structure that has been posted here a few times. Do a search and you will be flabbergasted to say the least. That is why they don't publish any list that is way below the salaries that they provide there employees.
