I've been running. It's even affordable at FO wages, gets me outside, is portable (good for the road, all you need are shoes and some running garments), and time efficient (you can get a great workout in a relatively short amount of time). Most of the time I enjoy it but it does feel like a chore sometimes. I used to balance it with lifting but I can't afford the gym right now. When I can afford it I'll join a gym again.

My flight surgeon always tells me. There is no financial reason why you can't maintain a first class medical. Thats after he spends several moments reviewing my results. Amazing what a couple of extra bucks can do for ya!

HMR, where or who do you train with? You are correct there are a lot of muscles you use for BJJ-wrestling that you forget about and just don't hit at the gym. Neck mucles, obligues, etc.
Oh yeah, isn't that where sweaty guys in tights try to grap each other?

:p
