Anyone know. I am guessing $45 million profit

I don't know. I doubt they made a profit though.

I'm gonna guess a $25 million dollar loss. Q1 is usually not a very profitable one, right?

Sounds like a need for pay cuts to make the company fly. Sorry but true, management will come calling for cuts. You have to do what ever it takes!

CAL Q1 earnings will be released at 04/20/2006 12PM ET. The estimate is -.77 per share, or about $66 Million in the hole.

Remember the first quarter tends to be a loser in the airline industry, Not a lot really goes on during Jan, Feb, Mar... even spring break traffic falls mostly into the 2nd quarter. If CAL comes close to breaking even it is a good sign... especially when the others NWA, DAL specifically are bleeding money.

As long as we are guessing, I'm going with an $38M loss followed in the 2ND quarter by an $75M profit, then in the 3RD quarter an $117M profit, in the the 4TH quarter a $22M profit. I see a $176M gain for '06 and a profit sharing check in JAN '07 for about $3400.00.

Man this ananlyst crap is easy!:p
