Anyone know how to get a "fresh" ERAU decal for the back of the car window? Mine faded after too much cruis'n in the sun. The only thing other drivers notice now is my hat in the back window of the Jetta. Maybe I look more seasoned (or jaded) that way. BTW, am I the only one who chokes up with pride when the national TV-news quotes the Riddle Prof regarding the latest airline economic quandary? That guy really knows his stuff!!

Well, dare I say I went to Razzles tonight. Walked in and immediately swung for the fence. I asked out one of the attractive bartenders that worked there. She said that it was lovely that I was showing an interest in her. Dinner would be great. It was a little awkward at first. I could tell she was a little nervous in my company. I did have the premium product in my hair, not that cheap crap I wear to work. She asked me a few probing questions. I told her that I had a 4 year degree, didn't smoke, never did drugs, and was really looking for a long term relationship. In truth, I could tell she was floored. She gave me her cell #, and an alternate # incase I had any trouble reaching her on her cell. So all in all it was pretty cool. Monday night is the big D A T E. More to come later......

I say ************************* those guys that knock the Riddle dudes. A lot of those guys are geeks and are bringin the rest of us down. All I know is that my crew got drunk, laid, and brawled on a weekly basis. The geeks and dorks are wreckin our cred, but the real guys recognize the real guys. Enough said.

Drove the truck to school that night and loaded up with every paper I could find. Must have been around 1987.

I don't know that one, but Carmichaels closed in 1990 or 1991 perhaps??? It's were Sonny's BBQ is now on Volusia (oh yea, Int'l Speedway ). I use to do the same, grab about 20 issues just for the coupons.

Oh man, I can't believe I forgot about Gattis. Wow, what a bargain!

I believe it was Captain Jacks or something with Captain in it. Did the same thing with the coupons. They said it was a mistake but they would take them anyway. Guess they didn't think so many were in circulation. Then they tried to say only one coupon per table, so we split up into 4 tables to order and then moved to one table. No wonder I can't remember the name.

Big Daddys was at 11 S Ocean Ave. It was right across from Krystal and a couple of blocks north of the Ocean Deck. The last year it was open was 85. It's only competition at the time was 600 North. I think the building was torn down a couple of years ago?

Uh, yeah, I think you're the only one. After I graduated I never looked back, glad to leave that heaven for dorks. When people ask where I went, I lie or mumble.

BTW, I came over here when an America West pilot told me about it. I've been saved from airliners.net.

I graduated from the extended campus at MCConnell in '98. No problems...never set foot on the DAB campus which is printed on my degree.

I think this is a prime example of what is wrong with some of the Riddlins. Not all mind you, but this is why they get picked on.

I agree with a lot of the people in this forum. There are huuge dorks at Riddle, and a bunch of aholes too. But this is true of any flight school or airline for that matter. The only thing I know is that I pretty much slept through training and had little or no trouble with any portion of it, while the majority of my class struggled to keep up. I am NOT one of those God's gift to aviation ERAU grads, but I do attribute it to the great training I got there.

However, since we do tend to have a bad reputation for dick/dork-pilots, when a captain asks me what I did before this I tell him the truth: flight instructed for 2 years. I don't throw in the ERAU part unless they specifically ask.

I'll agree that were MANY people who I chose not to associate with at Riddle, but are you guys really that embarassed that you went there? I have no problem telling people I went there, and no, I didn't wear RayBan Aviator glasses and flight suit to the flightline.
