As the old saying goes.....There is a way to make a little money in the aviation industry, but first you have to start with alot of money!

A snowstorm last year all but shut down Seattle and Portland right before Christmas. Alaska's stock was up from $25.50 on 12/15 to almost $30 by the end of the year, with no real decline on the days of the storm.

Which airline will be most harmed by the blizzard in the DC and NYC areas?

I will short-sell some airline stock on Monday and try to scoop 10-30% off Mr. Market

A snowstorm causing the stock to tank?...short it 10 Cents and you might be ok.....Wow...Most investors will recognize the weather will improve and the airlines did not refund the revenue they received because the tickets were already paid for....worst case ....delays for passengers getting to their destinations. Do you think that all ticket buying stopped during the snowstorm?
