I see it here where I work. Everyone has pretty much gotten over it. But, (and this all happened before I got here) there was a joint contract first, which took away some of the pain of the eventual SLI. Most got some sort of raise, and then the news on the SLI from what I have heard. It doesn't sound like you guys are following that. The only other major merger was USAir before DL, and they went your current route. How has that turned out? Good luck.

Yeah, your debt rating sank today, along with your stock. According to an article on Yahoo, your management today finally got to see Airtran's financials, and they decided to hang on to extra fees for baggage and keep first class at Airtran for a bit longer. Looks like they need some extra money to help pay for it all. Tell us please when you will change it all to Southwest, and then you will finally be ready to fight, and taxi slow, and not get short approaches, etc. Can't wait.

SWA also has an great head start with having the excellent reputation of such a great operation in the atlanta area. They are stepping into the shoes of an airline that has known to carry the highest yielding passengers to some of the most lucrative destinations. Only time will tell, but my bet is that SWA will be moving into the paint shop on the field within the year.
