D Morris- if you are looking into flight slots - look at all of them- get your degree first and then decide--- Here is a quic couple of thoughts from somebody that has flown in the two different services--- 9 years for the Army - I was a commissioned guy- got paid well -I flew a lot - was always in a flight slot at every one of my jobs- I avoided any job that would take me out of the cockpit - I was a warrant Officer in desguise as an RLO- Until the dreaded desk jocky position stared me square in the face- thats when I pulled the Ejection handles and went to the Navy Reserve-- There you Can fly as an O5- and you can continue your roost as a overpaid Warrant Officer ( In my book - all the Warrant Officers are well under paid(its a crime)- from being an RLO - I have no doubt that the most professional Officers that I had the honor of serving with in the Active Army- came from the Warrant Officer Corps- ) - Another thing you should think of - is it a Career or a stepping stone- If you go warrant - it is sometimes tough to get into the other services - because they don't always give direct commissions - so think ahead- and make a educated choice - good luck- MAX
