On 5-26 my co-worker and I flew into St. Paul downtown. We had almost 11 hrs on the ground. After lunch we drove to south st. paul airport to look around. The CAF hangar was open so we walked down and saw a B-25, BT13, T-6 and a beautiful P-51C. It was pretty sobering to hear about the crash. I can't help think that I saw this pilot just days before he passed. I'll be thinking of him along with the many veterans and volunteers who bring these aircraft back to life on memorial day.

Thanks CAF, I'm honored to have been able to see all the restored a/c at south st. paul airport

Every man dies.

Not every man really lives.

Godspeed...

My prayers and condolences for the family of the pilot. It is little comfort to know that at least he died doing something he obviously loved.

I've got a bunch of pics of that airplane on my computer.

The "C" model is my favorite Mustang. The headrest canopy and Merlin are just killer.

I saw Kermit Weeks "C" model fly a few years ago. It is absolutley beautiful.
