For all you Pinnacle fellas out there, would it be worthwhile to walk in a resume to Pinnacle over on Nonconnah since I live in Memphis?

I don't even know if people off the street do stuff like this anymore, as I have never lived in a town that had an airline operating out of it before?

I'm planning on making a couple calls and trying to do it in the next day or two, just wondering what everyone's thoughts on this are? Kind of excited to see if I'll even get past the front door!!

BTW, does Pinnacle wear blue or black uniforms:)

Thanks in advance.

Sure, anything helps these days. Just drive up to Nonconnah, talk to the receptionist (Susan), see if you can meet anyone in HR. Who knows... Begging seems to be the universally spoken language for HR. I believe we interview on Tues. & Thurs. but no guarantee.

We wear black uniforms, like the MIB. They said it's the last uniform you'll ever wear, but we beg to differ!

Thanks for the info....

I'll give it a try, and let anyone know how it goes! I was hoping I'd find another use for this black uniform:)

Couple other questions, no pay during training, I'm assuming it's all done in MEM, Sims in MEM too? Correct me if I'm wrong on ANY of this?

Why 9E?? Is training not going well at XJet?

I agree, just ask the receiptionist for someone in HR. At the worst, just leave it with her.

All ground training is done in MEM. I think new hire sim is still all in MEM (2 sims), although this month we are using the Sim in Cincy for recurrent rides I believe. No pay during training, but they have also accelerated training as much as possible. Obviously, it would also help if you knew ANYBODY at PCL so they could personally walk your resume right through the front door for you. Good Luck.

Last I heard, they're running out of Gnd Instructor... And space to turn the office into classrooms...

See if you can ask for anyone in HR or ask to speak to a pilot, who knows, maybe if you strike the right chord, they may even walk you in. You may even meet the Asst. CP or CP. Good luck.

They have also sent a new-hire class to CVG this month for sim training.

Heck, show up in an interview suit with a briefcase on a Tuesday or Thursday morning around 0800 with your resume in hand, and ask if you can join in the interview! :D

Seriously though, anything is worth a try, but be forewarned, it's the ghetto in Memphis and security is a little tight, all the doors are magnetically sealed and take passcards to get back into the "sacred area" past reception.

I've seen this happen once while I was hanging out waiting to talk to benefits (yes, they won't even let current employees unescorted past reception unless you're escorted by someone who works back there), and they were only able to leave the resume with reception.

I'd try asking for one of the recruiters specifically by name instead of asking for pilot recruitment, might get you someone who will actually be able to put you in the "interview" pile.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the input fellas, it actually worked out pretty good, I just emailed her my resume, and was planning on walking my stuff in yesterday, but she ended up emailing me back the same day I sent my stuff in, saying they are interviewing every Tues. or Wed. throughout April, so just pick one! So Tuesday it is! Too bad things can't go that easy all the time? I will admit, I'm a little worried about that second year pay.......assuming I get the job and a corporate job I'm hoping for falls through? Man talk about lack of a pay raise, I mean $3/hour, usually being off probation at LEAST warrants $7-8 these days? I know it'll be some time before they have a new contract, but either way, I can't bicker, it's what I love to do, and more important, IT'S A JOB. So how hard is this written test anyways? Looked on aviationinterviews, and I've yet to find any question that really is difficult, there's always something they can stump you on, and I'm far from a genius, but it seems fairly straight forward? Do you think me putting Rick James on my resume' helped me get an interview:)
