I got a $750/month contractual pay raise at the first of the year. Things aren't as bad as people/media make them out to be.

They never are when you are on the good side of the fence.

I used to say the same thing while I was still employed during the all the previous recessions from 1970 till now. I used to say, heck that wasn't such a bad recsesion. I feel differently now.

Now this thing is global and no one is safe. There is not one major economy that is doing well right now.
