I have been applying for the past 5 months or so, and I just received an email for an interview date a couple of days ago. I quickly replied with my interview date choice, and now I am back to "hurry up and wait" For the record, I have about 1800 TT, 140 ME time.

thanks for the info. i have about the same time so makes me feel pretty good to hear you got an interview. what dates were they offering?

The dates they offered were Oct 9th, Oct 12th, and Oct 24th. I chose the 12th, and my confirmation email wasn't sent to me until last night around 7pm (6pm in Houston). My flight leaves EWR at 9:00am, and my interview is scheduled for 1 pm.

about 7 years! That is how long it will take you to upgrade and for a slot to open!

No, you must be thinking of Eagle or Horizon. We're still at a little over 2 years until upgrade. This is a very pleasant place to call home.

Wow, If I had stayed at XJet I could upgrade to CA in 8 months! But to think, I would have had to give up the $100K+ Ive made since I quit Hmmmm...well I miss the jet flying, but I dont miss it that much...besides, I can still fly my plane around and sleep in my own bed every night!
Im just kidding around here...the airlines were not for me, but it is for a lot of others. I hope everyone is happy in their choice...I am.

Guess what, NO BODY CARES! If you are so frakin happy after leaving the airlines why do you still read airline forums while your at home enjoying your new life?

AWACO...You are right...this site is only for lonely guys on overnights at crappy little ********************e holes "checking my email" in the business center. But really, I find this site entertaining...you should get some self resect and quit and then come back here and read what people post...it is quite pathetic.

1850 TT, dude you've been around the world. I can't see how anyone could have even developed any self respect with all the time you have. Sounds like you need a dipper change. One last comment!!!!!!! you know nothing!!!!!!!!

Well I havn't posted on here in a long time but, Expressjet is a great place to be. Good QOL and descent advancement.

Good Luck

Been at XJET for six months now and I really like it. Been flying with some awesome captains that are always willing to teach me new things about flying the ERJ. Now if I can stop American Eagle sending me interview invites I'll be OK, they just don't understand over there I'm not interested. Anyone else have this problem?

You are currently experiencing what is known as “XJT EVNY”. It will soon pass as the other carriers begin the recovery process…It is important for you to ignore there jealous requests and to just keep being a part the best pilot group out there….

I waited for about five days. After that I called them and said

"Hey buddy, $crew you if you can't let me know sooner....I got better things to do than sit by the phone!!"

runawayhog is right...1850 tt less than 200me.....next time i choose to fly it won't be with express jet...i want to arrive safely..go get some real experience..

You know what? Im an a$$. I look back at what I wrote and thought, jeez, what a jerk! Sorry to those I caused to write back in attack mode...specifically runwayhog and 8ball. I guess I was having a moment. I will say that I dont for a minute regret my decision to quit from Xjet and PSA. Good luck to those of you who continue to fly for the regionals. I support you guys 100% against the unions (Thats just my opinion where the trouble with the industry lies) Every time I fly now, while boarding a plane, I look into the cockpit realizing the tough work it took to get there. I had a blast up there but it was not for me. Anyway, have fun in what ever you choose to do...you only live once.

FWIW,

was in IAH today. Interviews in full swing today and Was told 40 (!!) people to interview on the 24th.....

Interviewees today were put in a Oct. 30th class.

3 classes in November. 1st and 2nd 16/class. 3rd class to be a double (32 new hires)....

Good luck all....lots of hiring go on...hoping to hear WHY!

ballsdeep...No problem, Ive got plenty of money now that I've quit. Let me know next time you are in NC. Ill either be at one of my two homes, driving around in my new car, or at the airport and out flying my airplane. I am sure I can meet up with you and Ill even buy you a sundae if you want. I know how hard it can be. (By the way, nothing in this post is BS)

I got the job!

Hooray! I got the job! I am really looking forward to working for XJT, and my training starts Oct 30th. The only thing is, I go back on Oct. 24th to complete the paperwork, and that is when they will give me the manuals and training materials. Anyone know where I can get ahold of some of that stuff ahead of time? I really want to get a jump on studying.

Don't get worked up. Give some of the guys a few years and they'll be jealous of you. I still like my job for the most part but sometimes I wish I could do what you did.

I applied to XJT 5,(five), 1-2-3-4-5 times. I faxed them my resume and never heard back from them. I even had an internal reference. Maybe they did not like the way I spelled my last name? I hear there is a blacklist? Any truth to this?
