To you Delta guys ( or anyone who cares to answer). Submitted the AirlineApps for delta. Meet the requirements. Should I wait for a call or speed up the process by having a Delta pilot recommendation? Or in other words, do pilot recommendations allow the recruiters to search the airlineapps site and give the prospect a call for an interview? Comments greatly appreciated.

Have your Delta contact put the recommendation in with your airline apps a.s.a.p. Good luck!

Call the recruiter to show your desire and determination to serve Delta.
With over 2,000 hrs and b1900 time you have a decent shot, if you remember to keep professional looking. In other words....definitely keep your hair up in a scrunchy.

To keep it simple... you won't get a call without reccomendations.

Both of mine were retired as well. :)

The hiring coordinator is a retired chief pilot. If your contact had a good name and writes you a good letter, you certainly stand a chance, I would think.

Also, it depends on your flight time and such. All but 1 in my class were regional captains- the only one that wasn't was a current FA and flew the line at ASA at the same time.
