Vulcan B757 Sold!

The Vulcan 757 deal cratered this week. The buyer brought a team to BFI to inspect it and walked away from the deal. Rumor has it there is another buyer in the wings.

Google does not own any airplanes period!

I trained with a retired DAL 767 about a year ago at FSI ILM. He was in G5 recurrent. He told me that he worked for Google and that they were operating a G5 until the 767 was ready.

The WSJ confirmed this in their article on the Google 767, they also mentioned that the 767 was to be used for the Google employees. The article also mentioned that they had 2-G550's on order. This is also what the DAL 767 pilot told me.

G4G5, you need to read my words carefully. Google does not own or operate any aircraft......period. The WSJ article that you mentioned was full of errors and ommissions and the ownership of the GV's or any B767 aircraft is only but one of many published stories that are false or misleading. The principals may own aircraft outright, but they are not corpporate property and they cannot be billed back for corporate use. I know this is confusing to some, but there is a very distinct difference and corporate governance is critical to setting the record straight. I also doubt that any fromer Delta pilot said he "worked for Google" as that is simply not true, unless of course he was the night watchman. I think you get my drift.

Now back to the Vulcan B757. I heard it was going to be crewed by a company out of Montreal that supplies a lot of crews for the Bombardier fleets. Any ideas?

Aircraft is still owned by Vulcan. There has been no update on aerotransport.

It is a leased aircraft and the owner is Citicorp. Vulcan is the lessor. I heard the aircraft was going to be up for sale, but there apparently has not been a closing.

Amazing how a one time world class flight department can slither down to a 3rd world operation under the direction of a VP Finance, Sr. Dir. of Operations under the stewardship of PGA's sister. I bet Paul Allen himself is not aware of what has happened. Clueless!
