Any info on them??

Mins.....upgrade....QOL.....Pay

Ive got a few friends applying there. If anyone has anyone interview prep info that would be great as well. Thanks

If you are low time and need to build time quickly then it is not a bad place. If you are married and want to stay married or have a significant other that you like to spend time with on your days off- I would not try to get a job there. All flying scedules are tenative- you are subject to having your days off taken away or switched around on short notice. This is due to the short staffing of pilots and no reserve coverage for things that pop up at the last minute. Your life will pretty much be put on hold while you slave away building your flight time.

If you are not in a hurry to upgrade to Captain on a turbo-prop then I would recommend trying to get hired on at a regional airline for better quality of life- Vision Airlines is not even an airline.

They also do not even have jumpseat agreements or interline travel agreements with anyone- let alone you will never get anytime off to use them even if they did have them.

My advice is look elsewhere!! This place sucks!

They will work ya pretty hard. But you will build the time (Dornier 228/328's). Usually a jet or 2 laying around and if they like ya you can get in em. Anyone know if they still have that 737 on charter?

Maintennance is also pretty strong so ya don't have to woory about that .

You need to be an incompetent woman who makes it through aviation with her legs wide open. I know because I had to instruct a woman like that and help her get her commercial multiengine certificate so she could start class there. Thats right, she was hired before she had the ratings.

Exact quotes from her:
"They had to hire me because I am a woman"
"Just sign me off now, I will learn to fly when I get there"

Yes, there are 3 737's over flying around Europe and other parts unknown. They also have purchased 3 Dornier 328 jets that will start coming on line next year.

I worked at vision about 3 years ago... I worked by a$$ off. Had no life for 6 months (in Vegas at that), got my turbine time and got hired by XJet.

If you look at it like that it aint bad... Management is awful, and will abuse you to the limits of the FARs (and sometimes beyond that if they can get away with it). There is no such things as QOL or work rules, or a contract.
As of last year, and I am sure it hasn't changed they were pay for training so make a decision if that is a road you want to go down, but dont listen to the screamers on this board telling you that you are commiting career suicide. Your not, of the guys I started at Vision all of them are flying jets for a corporate operator or the regionals.

PS Steve Acor never went to jail... it was his Dad that took the rap! But to this day I still laugh when I think about Harry yelling at me "G-D dangIT GUY"

And if any of you reading this who was there when I was.... Yes I am the Punching Clown! Life is good at CAL
