Yea, thats all we need now... another carrier entering the market. Wasnt Arnold talking with those folks recently?

Uh, even worse.

As someone else on this board mentioned, ol' Sir Richard has the lowest paid 747 pilots in the world . . . . . even lower than Atlas.

That's all we need. Say what you want about the LCC's, we're going to look overpaid compared to his people.

From what I know about the Virgin Atlantic crews, they are low paid but stay at 5 star resorts or hotels on their layovers. They also have some very "randy" stews--but don't tell my wife that.....So, I guess they bring some really nice hotel soap back to their shanties......

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

Virgin Atlantic max for a 747-400 Captain is about 100k British pounds.

Virgin Blue is about 120K australian. (Roughly 85K US)

You can have your 5 Star hotel - these guys will get paid peanuts and there will still be thousands lined up to take the jobs. We are our own worst enemies. I am a cheerleader for everybody out there - but since there is nobody hired by Virgin USA yet, I hope Branson falls flat on his face over here. I hope it fails miserably. I think he is going to find the competition is a bit rougher than expected. Come on to SFO, lets see what happens.

179,633.52 USD to fly a 747 for a NON-major airline I think is not bad... How much are AA paying their 777 drivers?

General... so you've 'hung' with a Virgin Stew named Randall ?
Was it in Cancun as well? (alll in good fun... one good turn deserves another)

Ya sure wouldnt think there would be any more room for jets in the US market. Crazy stuff.. I dont think anybody could have imagined the internet's impact on the industry.

Virgin Atlantic: 1.4B pounds in revenue, 27 long haul a/c's.
Second largest UK airline, after BA. I think you should considered Virgin a major:)

Income above 28K is taxed at 40%, gas is $6 US a gallon, housing in London close to most expensive cities in the world.

Same Girl???

Now that I see them side by side, is that the same person in Freddy's and Dizel's avatar?? If not, they could be sisters.

I take that's a no? Sorry, Just asking! Got buds still on the street.

Good luck to all.

P.S. Are "Randy" Stews in the contract?

When the crew of the last DC-9 takes her to the desert...they will drink a can of beer made from the last Airbus
