Baby bonding leave helps build a stronger society. A small investment now saves money in the long run. Plus, it's the civilized thing to do. We need to take better care of each other. If you want to live like a frontiersman in the Wild West move to Texas or Mexico.

Unfortunately to much importance is placed on these few weeks and the rest of the child's life is forgotten to a society with an insatiable apetite for it's own selfish desires.

Truly sad. I meet many of my child's friends where both parents work, spoil them with material things and all the child wants is to sit down, be heard and be instructed.

Spend more time with your kids and less time trying to buy there love with crap that doesn't matter. Stop asking the rest of us to pay for it and spend YOUR time and money investing in YOUR child. That will build a stronger society.

People like us on this board use virtually none of the benefits and programs provided by the government so I say take what you can get. You are paying for it and everyone else is happy to take from programs that we all pay for.

Yes of course and I have credit left over on my credit card and plenty of checks left for my account.

So who's is going to pay for it in the long run?

Use your head for more than hanging your hat on.

So guess you won't take unemployment if your company closes its doors or you get furloughed. Guess someone has his hat on to tight.

All I know is the quoina wrap is good. Thanks guys commuting on VA is the best there is

Hey guys got a couple of questions about VX. I'm really thinking about Virgin as it seems the culture is great. I live in ORD and I'm concerned about commuting. How is it and is there a commuter policy? Are there lots of folks that also commute? Does it seem when Virgin further expands down the road will there be a centrally located crew domicile? I know in IAD they let you start pairings out there for commuters, is this true for O'Hare also? Sorry if these have been answered before. I'm just an RJ captain looking for a chill friendly place to work.

Plenty of commuting options from ORD to SFO but lots of guys at VX live there and more commute through there. IAD flying stopped last year. Only thing that comes from above is that we are growing LAX. Any thing else is just a pilots dream. Commuting policy is 2 back up flights then you can use it and not get paid for your trip and have a discussion about your commuting plan with the CP. Better to be sick and get paid and stay off the missing the commute radar. If you have your PIC time might not be a bad option before everyone starts hiring. We are hiring now based on attrition next airplane after our April delivery is not slated till late 2015.

^ Great! Thanks much for your input. Looks like I missed the application window by a few days now. You guys seem like a good group of folks.
