Branson

You never know how true these stories are but.....

About five years ago I was talking to one of our pilots about Virgin America. (Yea Branson has been threatening to start this thing since forever ago.) I asked him what he knew about Virgin and wheather or not it was a better or worse place to work than EasyJet. I had heard bad things about EasyJet but knew nothing about Virgin other than the pay scales were OK at the time, not outstanding but Ok.

He said that he did have friends there and that while Branson did not have the same rep as the head of EJ things were not great. His friend was a whale driver who said that a memo had come out stating that relief pilots would hencforth be off of the clock while they were in the bunk. Apparantly this did not go over real well with the long haul guys and it did not stick. ( I think unscheduled landings might have started to occur.)

Any port in a storm but working for Carty/Reid/Branson does not sound like working for Herb.
