After the airplane orders I think the applications on file increased dramatically. Competing for 170 jobs this year. Just keep updating the hiring will continue but don't plan on a 2 years up grade I think 3 1/2 is more accurate for pilots hired this year

I think I'd heard they were on an interview "pause" until March.

a Pool of 40ish pilots have slowed the need for interviews at this point. It was mentioned by our CP on the private VA forum. Classes have not slowed, still plan on 170-185 to be hired this year. I would agree that anyone picked up this year may be looking at a 3 yr upgrade unless more deliveries are scheduled for 2012. Which I am told is a possibility. Right now there is only 5 on order for that year. I would guess it has more to do with what happens with oil prices more than any other contributing factor.
