Here's My question!!!
Why would Cirrus put a TKS system on the aircraft and tell people not to use it. That's like telling a kid here's your new toy put don't play with it.....its gonna happen. So my suggestion....Either take the TKS completely off the system....or put another TKS leadind edge on the vertical and get the SOB certified for known icing.
I just think having an anti-ice tool is giving people the wrong impression...YOU STILL MY NOT FLY INTO KNOW ICING CONDITIONS WITH A CIRRUS (OR ANY AICRAFT THAT IS NOT CERTIFIED KNOW ICING) EVEN THOUHG IT HAS ANTI-ICE SYSTEM!!!
even when you do flying into ice you still have to be very careful and be aware of how much ice is building up. Its not something to play around with.
