They ought to scrap the ones that are left. They've killed more Marines than any enemy in the last 10 years. What a waste of money those damn thing have turned out to be.

That's what happens when the Military-Industrial complex gets too large and too invovled in D.C. politics. President Eisenhower, upon leaving the White House, warned Americans of this very thing. And look where we are now.

while mr eisenhower was right, while he was in office, he sure didnt act like that. He brought that power to full force.

and this is just another example of corporate welfare at its worst, one more pet project of a representative trying to get reelected.

An educated opinion based on what?

This thing has been under media scrutiny for years. Every little problem they freak out about, and we all know how much the media knows about aviation.

The Osprey has had it's share of development problems (it's a new generation of a/c, never before produced)... but it will revolutionize littoral warfare.
