General, you are worse than Lowcure the airline analcyst.

While that might be true he does speak a greater truth than any eastie that's posted here! I hope the USAPA ship sinks fast!

So General; refresh our memories - why were the Delta pilots so adamantly opposed to the proposed US Airways merger back in 2006?

How long have you been a member of this website ? How long have you been posting on this forum regarding USAir ? ...and you still have to ask that question ??? Sheeeshhhh..........if you can't figure it out by now, ya never will

God bless that nic award. With that in place no other pilot group could possibly figure a way to merge that list, ie do I go junior to the AWA guy with 10 years less longevity or do I go senior to the USAir guy that has been working for 25 years. It all sounds ugly. Nobody will want anything to do with that mess which is fine with me.

You East guys are a bunch of babies, and it's time for you to go to your rooms for a "time out." You will hopefully lose big time. Hey, if you accept binding arbitration, and you knew Nicelau (you wanted him initially), and he kept telling you DOH wouldn't work and to come up with something else, and you didn't, then TOO BAD.

I love the part when Easties say the West didn't help them financially. I have a question for you---did you buy your house with cash? Probably not--probably got a mortgage like everyone else. America West didn't buy you with cash, but HAD THE CREDIT to help finance your buyout, and save your ARSES. Don't forget that!

So - who saved (your ARSES) when you re-organized under Chapter 11?

Wow, that made me cry for a millisecond. So anyways........the key point here is that the East Babies agreed to binding arbitration, but then didn't like the outcome. So, they pulled out of ALPA and started their own union, which tried to get around the BINDING ARBITRATION, and not represent almost half of the group, while trying to force them to pay for it.

What does that SPELL? It spells "LOSERS." I hope all Easties have to pay back the Westies that were furloughed in their own cash, and then I can't wait to see the 24 year East FOs that have to bow down to the 10 year West Captains.(they may never fly together, though) And, if the East FOs don't like it, they can go look for another job, which was an OPTION for them for the last 20 years. Look at the guys who were furloughed from the East and ended up senior at Jetblue. It's called "leaving your comfort zone." Look into it if you want to bi$%h.

Huh? We came out of it fine, after giving up our pensions (although I got over $200,000 after coming out of BK--how did you guys do at USAir?). Luckily we didn't get trapped by Dougwiser, and we actually found a partner that made us stronger as a whole. And what did that lead to? A joint contract that gave everyone a raise (although negotiating during $140 a barrel oil wasn't the best timing), and a platform for the future. How are you guys doing? Can't wait to see the result of this trial....

Careful General, you sound like Brownonthebone.

General,

You're doing a fine job a campaigning for ALPA. You sound like everyone's dream come true as far as a union brother is concerned.
