That's where I found the message which has been deleted.
Fair enough. You serve it and I'll eat it. Should only be 5-8 years from now.MDA was USAir- wait until the lawsuit is finished and you westies will be eating a lot of crow
Dear get2flyin, please do a little research before you spew your ignorance on this site. I suggest you start at the sale of EMB-170's to republic. Please note that had the 170' s been a separate entity then republic and teamsters which represent their pilots, would have been forced to take all of the 170 pilots with the planes(as per the pilot contract at the time). The company (US Air) successfully proved in arbitration that the 170's were and always had been in fact US Air. That way the teamsters and republic only had to offer 50% those seats to the soon to be furloughed pilots under J4J provisions. This was palatable for the republic pilots and teamsters and most probably only way the sale could have been completed.
So, you are pulling things off another website. These ideas aren't even yours? Why am I not surprised???
I can't find it anywhere on any other website- did you make up the whole thing Cowboy? If not it seems like you are breaking some rules about posting other peoples ideas without there permission,
OK, chief. I'll play your game. I'd be willing to consider the 170 pilots as "Active USAir pilots" and consider them into the list. Here's the catch:
1. You ratio ALL pilots together regardless of Equipment and seat. No top 517 going to the East and then ratio-ed by seat and 757 to 757, Airbus/737 to Airbus/737, Captain to Captain, FO to FO. We use the straight East list (including ACTIVE pilots, NOT furloughees) and the straight West list at the time of the Merger announcement. No, we don't consider the recallees that came back as a result of the merger.I'd prefer #2, but if you want to use #1, I think I could live with that. Too bad it's already a done deal and neither of us gets to choose.
2. We use the formula of East wide bodies (*the 517 on top), followed by ratio-ed East and West narrow bodies, followed by RJ pilots (*we didn't have these "smaller" aircraft of property, so they go on the bottom...sorry), followed by inactive furloughees. Wait a moment.....that's IS the Nic list. Wow!
