All this and not a single word about the hundred's of pilots getting furloughed.

actually one of the updates said that a vote will go out to cover health care for the furloughs.

can't remember the exact amounts but something like:

30/month - capts
25/month fo's
25/month e190 ca
15/month e190 fo's

and no I haven't been very happy with the new gang as of late wrt them spending money to "cover" a few senior 200K/yr capt's while 40k FO's hit the street.

here is the message:

The Board passed a resolution to assess the membership, in order to pay
for insurance for those Pilots who are furloughed. Only members in good
standing are eligible for this assistance. The amounts to be assessed
are as follows:

Captains------------$25.00/month

F/O's----------------$15.00/month

E-190 Cap----------$15.00/month

E-190 F/O----------$10.00/month

This assessment will be sent out for membership ratification.

Why can they have a vote on an assessment, but they can't be bothered with holding an election for reps?

Don't the USAPA supporters feel the need to pick their own reps, or do they have so much confidence in this "think tank" that they trust them implicitly and abdicate their rights to vote?

I can guarantee you that the pilots of USAPA will vote against an assessment to pay for furloughed pilot's medical benefits. I can guarantee it.

That's all they have? Nothing about trying to prevent, or lessen the furloughs?

Pathetic. usapa has done more to harm this profession in 4 months than ALPA did in 80 years.

Good call DCAA320, don't want to look bad for the DFR lawsuit.

How can they be trusted to properly handle any money you give them? Can't you imagine the justification for continuing the assessment to feed a slush fund that closes the gap between expenses and lost dues revenue?
