Wow, I thought I just read this on a thread that started a few days ago. See

"Doug takes a shot at Dave"

For what it's worth, USAir (LCC) stock is at $37.34 up $0.44 this morning while JetBlue (JBLU) is at $9.43 down $0.04. Neither is any good on the fundamentals.

I shorted JetBlue stock from $29 down to $10, but I'm entirely out of the stock now. The only airline stock I now hold is Continental, but I've put a stop loss on that because I think airline stock values are going to begin sliding due to rising oil prices.

Some of us don't have the time to read every post in every thread. If you've read it before, skip.

There is a thread with 82 POST and 7,313 reads!! on the subject. Its on the 1st page and is the biggest thread going. You dont have to read every post to see it...it stands out like a sore thumb. Its not like its an easy one to miss. I just wonder about the intent of reposting the topic other than just trying to stir the pot...thats all :erm:

Hmmm... USAir's been around since the 40s... (All American, Allegheny, USAir (not to mention Mohawk, Lake Central, Empire, Piedmont, PSA, America West))

I agree with Doug. Long after JetBlue has joined Vanguard, Eastwind, Southeast, and all of the other get-rich-quick startups, US Airways will continue to serve its customers -- and HOPEFULLY will learn some lessons from its own troubled past.

As a native North Carolinian, and nothing against AAA employees, I can say Neeleman's comments were spot on. Both US and DAL have had the state over a barrel for a long time.

What is "Ignore On" ? I am just curious.

Thanks

Ahhh, 5 years on this thing and I just now figure out the ignore feature...thanks
