Exactly what happened in 1999.
Anyone who would leave Jet Blue or Netjets to return to USAir needs to have their head examined. U will be recalling right up until they furlough again. U ALWAYS trails the rest of the industry in recalling and hiring. USAir has pilots with 1989 hire dates that have less than 4 YEARS of active service. I would hope most of those guys would not give USAir a THIRD chance.
Also, don't expect Chug A Lug Doug to help out. He is a numbers man (CHEAP) and will run the airline with as little staff as possible, even if it pisses off some customers. And DON"T expect to see growth at USAir. Doug has said many times that their is still too much capacity in the industry. (Read, it ain't gonna be USAir that adds more routes or planes, sans some intl routes).
All movement at U will be due to retirements, and thanks to the ME generation that will stop in a few years also. Oh yeah, Doug still has a h@rd on to merge with someone, anyone with a good job that is considering returning to U should think long and hard about what will happen to them if Doug finds a merger partner, while you are stuck at the bottom of the seniority list.
I have first hand knowledge of how that works!
D@MN where is my valium!!!!!!
