I sent them a resume via e-mail. I got a reply that directed me to a web site where I could apply. The site said that they will no longer accept a resume that has been e-mailed. They require a $38 application fee to apply online. Does everyone get this reply after sending in a resume. I don't want to pay that much money if that was just a standard response for everyone.

The pool is full...

I heard from a buddy that the pool is full now, and that they are not interviewing for some time to come. Might not be a good investment to just have your application sit there.........do they charge for updates?
Then again, I have seen ads by the company that they are accepting applications. Perhaps they need a "paper pool" since they interviewed all the people that they had on file.

ON Line app

This on-line process is being used by USA Jet to prescreen pilot applicants and reduce the workload on the compnay. The company who provides this service charges each applicant the $38 for that service it does not go to the company. Our pool is full and we do not anticipate hiring until mid spring at the eariest.
We will screen from the on-line applicants for future interviews. When we start interviewing in the future. we will contact via mail those selected for interivews. We would like every one reading this board and 100 of their friends to go out and buy a new US made car or truck, that should pick up the pace of hiring and training.

I did purchase a new Ford, but with that zero percent financing for the term of the loan, the big 3 aren't making sizable profits....

PM if this is Randy.....I'm DSW's old roommate
