Starting Nov 1st USA Jet is going increase response time for crews not #1 in rotation to 1 hour on weekdays and two hours on weekends and holidays. Trying to always improve the QOL for the on-demand business within the limits of the on-demand business. It will be discussed in detail at Monday's pilot meeting. We truly feel lucky to have our pilots working for us and want to show our appreciation as much as we possibility can, more in coming.

Sounds very good. Will it be the pilot's responsibility to call in and check if they are #1 if flight follow is too busy/forgets paging #1???

page when #!

they will page 24/7 when you are #1, come to the meeting monday get the details.

What's a pager? I didn't know they still use them. I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking my pager it's going off. It should be called on demand syndrome.

We are 11 days into the trial period of the new call out times and I can honestly say that this is a enormous improvement in quality of life for all the USA Jet pilots.

I can now run errands now without having to pack up my bags! On the weekend I can even go do things that are fun. Seriously, I hope this lasts. Its really easy to get use to. If you work for us please read the memo and ask questions if you have to. It is our job as a pilot group to make sure that we do not screw this up. I'm sure there may be a bump or two in the road, but if we all try we can make this work!

Hi!

If U R at USA Jet:

I have heard there have been some problems with some pilots:
They are paged #1. Then U R supposed to call in to verify you got the #1 page and are going to transition to the 25" callout.

Some are NOT calling in to ops to verify their #1 status "Because I don't want to." They are too lazy or can't be bothered to call in.

***If this turns in to a problem USA Jet will go back to a 25" callout for everyone, all the time.***

Tell all the guys you know to CALL BACK WHEN PAGED #1.

I have been on a 2 hour callout all weekend, and I like it. I don't want to lose it.

If it works this month, the trial will continue into Dec. If it still works, it will be made permanent 1 Jan 2008.

***Please HELP to make this extended callout a permanent policy!!!***

Thanks to everyone who will be calling in #1!

I have a blanket.... want to have a party?

Those who do not want to call in, can stay on 25 minutes all the time. But remember this is stil la trial period.

Yip,

We should have everyone sign a sheet saying they have reviewed and understand the policy. Ignorance is no excuse for errors in the program. It amazes me that some people are so lazy that they do not even bother to understand the rules and policies that they operate under. Or at the very least make a effort to understand them. The majority of the pilots at USA Jet are happy. I would hate to see the minority ruin a good thing here. It's the same group that complains all the time about EVERYTHING that doesn't bother to participate in things like this. I can't believe some people don't like the new call out times because they are scared of change. Change can be good! Hooray change!

pilot meeting in an hour come join us, express your concerns, make this a better place to work.

Yip,

Do you guys look at my schedule and make sure I am on a trip or on days off and out of town (like now) when you schedule the pilot meetings? haha

I don't know what people would think if I showed up to a meeting and said, "Hey, I'm happy, thanks for the new call out times." "What can we do for you to get more things like this for us? Of course we want more things like this, who wouldn't. It makes people happy, and I like being around happy people, don't you?"

The way I look at it the company did not have to do this, but they did. Why did they do it? To make pilots happy. What does the company get for having happy pilots? Less attrition, which in turn saves money for the company, which in turn with the new profit sharing program puts more money in my pocket. If everyone pitches in here its a win win for everyone.
