Hi!

USA Jet Airlines is very military friendly, and is looking for a number of new guys starting now. They plan on hiring 12-20 or so pilots through the summer (they only have about 80 now). If you graduated from a FW school, you're in. If you graduated RW, you only need 100 ME FW to meet their insurance mins. The military success rate for new-hires/upgrades is 100% (civilian is about 93%).

Start flying freight on the Falcon 20, base $33K, 10 days off every 28-very flexible schedules-most holidays off. Move to the DC-9 within about a year, flying freight and/or PAX. 12 days off base $36K. Last year the -9 FOs made about $50k average.

Upgrade to Falcon capt is about 2 years-3rd yr capt pay is about $53K. Upgrade to -9 Capt is about 5-7 years. Max base is now under $100K, but many guys made over that. Last year our #1 guy made about $35K in Sep.

It is a decent company. In the last 4 years, we've had only one active duty guy (helo) who didn't like it. We've had 1 AF guard guy who didn't like it.

Here on flightinfo.com PilotYIP is the recruiter-PM him for info on applying.

If U want detailed info, PM me.

So is Cliff a new recruiter there. He must be getting paid per thread he starts. They are everywhere I look.

No Cliffy is just another typical enthuastic former rotor wing USA Jet pilot, who knows he has made a great career choice. He wants to spread the good word out into the hinter lands, so that all will know of the great things at USA Jet Airlines that wait for other rotor wing pilots.

I saw one of the USA jets in TCL today. That Falcon looked like she'd seen better days. As a former freight dog I know that alot of the ships are like the Millenium Falcon that Han Solo flew in Star Wars..."She may not look like much kid, but she's got it where it counts".

YIP is the place, where else would one expect?

Hi!

WMUSIGPI:
USA Jet only has one 121 (supplemental-this is how it's different than 121 scheduled) certificate. They have a waiver to operate the Falcons -135. All the manuals/training/MX, etc. is 121 for both airframes.

All the days off, for both Falcon and -9 are hard days off. If you're on the road with days off coming up, USA Jet will airline you out to get you your days off.

Any chance those 11 days off per month are all in a row... to make for an easier commute? I'm probably dreaming right?

yea we have 10 days blocks for commuters, but if businessis slow you may spend 18 days in a row sitting in your crashpad in YIP.

Military Drivers,
Don't waste you're time flying for an on demand freight/px operator. Your family life will suffer. If your waiting on your 2nd interview w/ swa try the fractionals, or corporate. You will work hard, but at least you will be in bed every night. You wont have to live in the tropical paridise called yip.

Actually Hammer there probably few pilots who spend as much time with their families as USA Jet pilots. This is assuming that do not commute. The average USA Jet pilot is gone from home 132 hours per month. That is 5.5 days. If you want to pick up an extra $30K/yr, you are gone from home 176 hours per month less than 7.5 days per month.

Ah! Those old freight dogs! If only they could talk, what stories they would tell! Brings back memories...

Hi!

USAJet is on the JS list at NWA/USAir/Spirit. They will also be in CASS soon.
