After 15000 hrs and all you have is an ATP and FE. Just sit back and work the radio.

Ok Mr. 250 hour C-152 pilot/ career counselor. Have a web site for your invaluable aviation career insights? You ought to if you don't have one. And I see you're also typed in the C-172.

Doable

It is done a lot like a military launch, you live within a 15 minutes drive of the airport while in duty status, when you are called out, the company files your flight plans, pulls weather, fuels the airplane, maintenance pre-flights the airplane, you pick up your orders and you are good to go. 45-minute block from alert is very doable. But is only happens in about one of out 10 trips.

Yeah buddy, I moved up in the world. How much of that 15 million hrs you have is side ways. 25 minute show, or is that airborne in 25 minutes? I thought a 1 hr response time was crazy, but that is just dangerous.

Hi!

Usually when you're called out, U have a bunch of time. The last time I was it was to Canada, so I had to call customs, and then get a 2 hr. minimum arrival time, so we couldn't block out for about 90".

If I do get a 25" call, I usually take a shower, or get some food together to take with me, get dressed, get my stuff, and drive to the airport.

I check the flight plan, notams, weather, find out about the trip-freight loads, etc. then out to the airplane, do the walkaround, get in, and block out right about 45" after being called out.
