The number of new aircraft for the Fall/Winter season has been reduced to 3. Interviews for seasonal F/Os to begin in August for September classes. My prediction is that the first 10 or so hired will transition to permanent positions due to attrition.
If you can get somebody here to write a recommendation online for you that would be a big help. This is not a large flight department so dropping someones name does help in the process. But beware, this place is not for the faint hearted. We have no contract(we are working on the first one now), "policies" with regard to scheduling change frequently, blended lines of reserve, and scheduled trips, 99% turns, if you don't live in base it sucks big. What you have to know is this is a travel company, not an airline. They would like to think of themselves as one but they are not. I don't know of anyone here who see's this as long term. Most everyone here is furloughed from somewhere sitting out the storm of the industry, happy to have a job until something better comes along and hopefully fast. Three good points: You get typed in the 320, you are not asked to resign a seniority #, improves your Jetblue resume.
