"Applications will be accepted from: Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) eligibles in the local commuting area only."

Sounds like an insiders only job...

Just applied...maybe my five years at the USFS will count for something!

Eric

Good luck

Lost dog, I knew I could get you down south! Your kids will be eating grits before you know it.

Good luck

LOL!

Grits! Haven't had grits since I was 6! And I was living in Georgia at the time!

The big thing will be getting my wife to agree to move to the south...she wasn't to thrilled with her one and only sojourn to Dallas/Ft. Worthless...

Grits...don't ask...don't tell!

Eric

Rudgunasflyer...

I haven't been called either...could be that I left the gov't under less than ideal circumstances (I pissed a few people off by offering logical, sensible suggestions to idiotic, mind-numbing, bureaucratic folderol!)

Still waiting to hear...

Eric

Doesn't necessarily mean the job is gone. It will probably take couple of months to sort through apps and narrow it down to about 5 guys/gals. Military has first dibs....always do in these jobs. Then highly qualified folk who want to leave the real world for a place at the gov't trough. Then it's down to guys like us!

My job with the USFS...I applied in July...got it in Oct.

I live in Alexandria and have a friend who works for the Marshall service. He said one of the Phoenix pilots was transfering in for the job, so I guess there will be a new post sometime for the PHX position.

Good Luck

Sounds right. Watch usajobs.com for the PHX position. Although I think they only fly DC9's outta Mesa/Willliams Gateway. Seen them there in 03/04 while on the fires in Arizona.
