Did US staff it's upcoming class for F/O's in the E190? Why would anyone who is doing the J4J gig want to take a paycut to go to the E190? Why would anyone from the outside take a job where they knew they would be junior F/O's for many years? Almost any other entry-level regional job would provide more opportunity than this.

The 190 FO positions were staffed by APL pilots. Everyone has there own reasons for either coming back or passing. I think one of the bigger factors those taking these positions is to get back on the active list and continue building their longevity.

Excuse my ignorance, but who is "APL" ?

Another note, The J4J gigs might have a higher hourly rate, but there some other factors that go into play. Most of us are JR. at the J4J gig and on reserve. Many times, simply collecting guarantee. Whereas, the 190 might be lower hourly, it could be a situation where you go straight to holding a line. So the monthly take home just might even out. In addition there's some other QOL issues that may be increased going back to ML.....
