KIND REGARDS/JIM RYAN

As you are aware, yesterday DHS Secretary Napolitano and U.S. Ambassador Rooney released their joint press announcement regarding the new preclearance of private aircraft program at Shannon Airport. In further preparation for start up, we are providing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to assist the airport authority and stakeholders. This document contains basic information about the program, the requirements for obtaining preclearance services, and points to locations for additional information as necessary.

The document also provides the CBP Shannon telephone number necessary for requesting private aircraft preclearance services. This line will be officially available to receive requests for service at 7 a.m. (GMT) beginning Friday, 25 February 2010, and will be available for requests from there on out during the hours noted in the FAQs. Please keep in mind when distributing this information that the request line may not be used to answer inquiries about CBP issues that are not related to preclearing private aircraft.

Also keep in mind that there is a delay of posting on the CBP internet platform most of the information I have provided to you in this forum. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

We continue to look forward to a great beginning for this program and, as always, appreciate the continued collaboration with our partners in Ireland.

Sincerest Regards,

Clint Lamm
