So if you know anybody who needs a job for 2 years or so, let them know. It's a ground-floor opportunity to get into the basement.

Even though our superior management team....(don't tell anyone but it's actually AWA management) and the west pilots hate our min fleet and min utilization rates that are in our contract...ha ha ha ha we still have them. Therefore Mrs. Bringining Up The Birdie when we start finally pooping out the geezers on Dec 13, 2012 (this year) they have to hire and everyone will move up. Now there is a possibilty that you birdie are in the know of another terrorist attack which of course when allow our superior management team (after they rejoice once again at the deaths of thousands of Americans) to Force Majoure our contract with them. Then sir you would be correct. They would shred our contract and farm out the flying to the lowest bidder and furlough as many main line pilots as the could. But for a second could you be honest with me? Don't you think it's a little weird that they have the lowest paid pilots on this planet and they still want (in the PRESIDENT SCOTT KIRBY PROPOSAL) no scope, no min fleet, and no min utilization rates?

I suppose no one told you that the APA is going to rip up the transistion agreement once Single Carrier is established and with it goes your fleet min. Don't worry, they've been through plenty of mergers before, they will show you how it's done....

The APA needs this and will not jeopardize their lifeboat to accomodate any east tantrum. And I am surprisingly OK with that.

And I think you've got it wrong - your min fleet and utilization are one of the least of many things the west pilots hate about the east. You folks who started and lost the civil war between the pilots must be asking yourselves if it was worth it.

But the formerly furloughed and the new hires should be making their career decisions wisely, because once the APA comes in, they will lose all say in the matter.

Actually, I think our most junior guy has been here about 6 years. I've got news for you Einstein, the APA doesn't care if it's one of our 20 year captains or one of your 20 year reserve FOs, they won't want anyone above them. If you couldn't win against us, a pilot group less than half your size, what makes you think you have any chance against a larger, well funded pilot group? You're screwed, unfortunately we're screwed too.

I think you underestimate the APA's affection for the West. I have been told by those in the know that APA is planning to staff the 777 solely with genuine cactus pilots, in order to help them recover the salary disadvantage they have had since their inception... And also in gratitude to them for saving their job.

And my AA buddies are so hoping that the new call sign is Cactus...they hate using their name on the radio.

"Einstein"? We used to say that in junior high school in the 70's!

.....And the old AW livery will be the new at AA. Oh wait, new CACTUS tie pins for all... These guys are amazing.
